Protein
The current US health fad is obsession with protein. I would never increase animal products (beef, pork, chicken, lamb, etc), except fish. I would never eat overly processed powdered ‘protein’.

Plant-Based Protein Sources

Tofu (Ingredients should only be soybean, water, calcium sulfate)
Tempeh (also a great source of ergothioneine)
Soy beans (in frozen section, boil them) , Soy Milk (I like Organic Silk brand)
Legumes (all the beans, lentils, chickpeas)
Quinoa
Nuts (Peanut, Cashew, Almonds, Pistachios, Hazelnut)
Seeds (Hemp, Chia, Flax, Sunflower)
Nutritional Yeast
Some Veggies have but less (peas, spinach, artichoke, white corn)
If you are really worried, eat a little fish here and there (not a ton, and hard to verify how clean it is)
