Philosophy of life
- All that matters is kindness
- With the exception of great suffering, enjoy every moment ... by deciding to enjoy, not to maximize or analyze
- I can be at peace internally despite external conditions.
- Others behavior is a reflection of their internal mental space. Negative emotion directed toward me is a reflection of inner pain. I can observe that pain, have empathy for it, and deflect it away from my emotional space.
- We are the collective set of beliefs, fears, and values created by memories. What is your rule system? What are your limiting beliefs?
- I am not my thoughts. I can observe my thoughts - deciding whether to accept and strengthen them, or not to believe them.
- I do not have to ‘do’ anything, for everything to be ‘ok’
- We will always have “problems”. “Trading in” problems is the important concept. (Ex. Now instead of not having a car to get work, I have to think about car insurance and maintenance - this is especially true of “privilege problems”)
- Live your own life, not someone else’s.
